Something for kids to enjoy but my dad, Teddy and I took the two hour drive for the spontaneity of it. When I found out Dinosaur World was pet friendly, I thought why not check it out. I especially enjoy when it's attraction place that is just as enjoyable for us humans. I'm always looking for places I can take my dog Teddy. Overall, we had a great time and will be back when it gets cooler! We didn’t make it the whole way because it got too hot (typical Florida heat) so I would suggest visiting in the cooler months and bringing a good amount of water for the puppers. I understand they don’t want visitors messing up the Dino sculptures but it would have been great to have a little bit of trail edge or a few grassy areas that aren’t roped off for the pups to take a break. The one minor issue I didn’t like was that I didn’t see much in the way of grassy areas for pups to take a little pit stop and the edges of the trail are roped off to encourage visitors to stay on the trail. The gem mining part is currently open with social distancing measures in place. Since not all the hands on exhibits are open due to Covid they’ve dramatically reduced their ticket prices. They do strictly enforce mask wearing while indoors and encourage it if not socially distancing when outdoors. Staff was really friendly, liked the pups, and were very helpful.
They didn’t sell food or drinks that I saw so bring your own. The gift shop was big and the prices on souvenirs was reasonable. Even the gift shop was dog friendly and the pups picked out their own plush dinosaur toys. They do have at least one dog watering station but it’s more convenient to carry your own pups water with you. Dinosaur World was great! The trails were really nice and mostly shaded.
